Advantos Systems,
Inc. has announced the expected beta release of its next generation
DataTrust Enterprise accounting application, due for release
during the 1st quarter 2007. This release is an enterprise
wide web-based application using a graphical user interface
that provides for a zero client deployment solution. There
are no HTAs, plug-ins or installs at the client side. Internet
Explorer 6 or above is the only requirement for extended functionality.
Bill Haskett, principal, has stated that the new release will
provide high performance and field-based validation in the
application and will provide for complete mapping of database
structures, the inclusion of business rule processing defaulted
against this structure, and the splitting of validation between
client and server processing. “Our database service
hub couples with the underlying database and provides native
database interaction. As each XML transmission contains functional
descriptors and data to support the function, the database
service hub can quickly direct the underlying database to
the required function.“ stated Mr. Haskett. “The
benefit for our clients is a superior application that is
extremely robust, performs at a consistently high level, is
truly scalable, requires no client deployment and makes use
of the functional benefits of the web browser environment.”
These are just a few of the exciting developments in store
for our clients. This release will be available to our ASP
clients and all other clients on an IIS Server platform.
